Environmentally Friendly Latex Printing
Digital printing
Graphix Supply World is the industry leading supplier of digital printing solutions for the signage, graphics, textile, print and packaging industries. The company is renowned for providing outstanding service, both during and after the sale, as well as for its high quality machinery. GSW are the exclusive distributors of the world’s best media and inks at cost efficient prices. The company also sells the world’s first White Latex Ink Printer – the JV 400-130/160LX.
This is an eco-friendly solution that loses none of the quality of normal solvent inks and enjoys a long indoor and outdoor lifespan, with an astonishingly vivid colour range. This printer supports six colours including white, which is becoming increasingly useful in the signage market.
Mimaki’s white latex ink satisfies the requirements of a wide range of printing needs and substrates, and the printer is fitted with the specially designed Mimaki Circular Technology which rotates ink to ensure that no pigment sedimentation preventing stable ink dispersion occurs, thereby reducing the need for manual ink cartridge circulation processes. MCT contributes to the lessening of wasted ink and in doing so supports environmentally and economically friendly utilization.
Why should you choose latex ink? The water-based LX100 Inks contain reduced amounts of volatile organic compounds, which means that they are non-toxic and much better for the operator’s health, with no ventilation equipment required. They are eco-friendly but just as effective as other inks, if not more so. White ink maintains the natural brightness of the colours by being used as a base to print onto transparent or coloured materials, including clear film window graphics. You can insert eight ink cartridges and choose the colour configuration of ink when you install the printer – for higher productivity use the double CMYK4-colour mode as opposed to the ordinary 7-colour mode.
The Latex ink attaches the pigment to the media, because a resin contained within the ink dissolves with the heat, forming a membrane. This enables it to fasten on to a diverse array of materials, from PVC film to ordinary paper. The Latex inks dry quickly and efficiently, with three heaters assimilated into the printer to speed the process along as well as drying fans to ensure that the prints are ready for second processing as they exit the printer. A surprisingly low curing temperature of 60 degrees C or below allows you to print on a wide range of heat sensitive materials.
You can expect astounding quality as the printer has a minimum dot-size of four picoliters and the capacity to use different sized ink dots to create a smooth gradation, with its high-tech multidrop function, which provides three different drop sizes simultaneously. The JV400-130/160LX has a print speed of up to 18 square metres an hour and uses special eco-cases, which don’t need to be recycled and therefore ensure an ecological and economical manufacturing, as you no longer need to replace small ink cartridges.
This is a fast, effective printer with a long outdoor and indoor lifespan, which uses environmentally friendly and economical latex ink to provide the highest-quality printing solution. The white ink adds to the brightness of colour and enables the printer to bind ink to a wide array of materials, using the sophisticated built-in heating and drying system. The eco-friendly ink cases also add to the environmentally responsible nature of the product.
