Mimaki’s UV curable inks deliver a vibrant and broad ranging gamut of colour onto almost any material. Attention should be paid to the ink adhesion, which differs from substrate to substrate. [Suitable for: JF series, UJF-605CII, UJF-605RII, UJV-160]

With very high consistency, and the utmost attention paid to runability, Mimaki’s UV curable inks deliver a vibrant and broad ranging gamut of colour onto almost any material. The UV curing ink comprises of four plus two process colours, a unique and bright white ink and, for a high gloss finish, the clear liquid. Attention should be paid to the ink adhesion, which differs from substrate to substrate. In some cases it can be necessary to laminate the print or to use the varnish ink as a top layer to enhance the durability and colour fastness.

The acid, reactive and disperse ink sets are not just restricted to standard four plus two process colours; a number of supplementary colours are also available, such as grey, blue, red, orange and golden yellow. Acid ink is required for printing on silk, nylon and wool. Cotton and some prepared silks require reactive ink. Disperse ink can be used to print direct to polyester, or to heat transfer paper before sublimating to polyester products.

Mimaki offers a range of water based inks for sign and textile applications. Mimaki’s dye sublimation inks can be used to print directly onto polyester based media (DS series) or to print on transfer paper (JV33 and JV5 series), which can then be transferred to a wide range of sign and textile applications. The dye sublimation ink set includes the four process colours and light blue and light magenta. Mimaki’s aqueous pigment inks can be used only for indoor (backlit) applications and include the four process colours, light cyan and light magenta.

Solvent Inks
Mimaki offers full, mild and eco solvent inks for JV33, JV5 and CJV30 series, each with its own advantages.

Mimaki’s solvent inks are extremely easy to work with and produce a stunning colour yield onto a wide range of uncoated materials. For each printer Mimaki offers mild solvent ink (CJV30, JV33) or full (JV5) solvent ink and the environmentally-friendly eco solvent ink, which are almost odourless. The full solvent inks have a very fast drying time to facilitate the high speed of JV5 series. Mimaki’s solvent inks are available in 4 (CMYK) and 6 colours (CMYKLcLm). CJV30 and JV33 series also offer white ink for coloured and transparent substrates, such as window signage.
